There has been plenty of hands-on learning happening in Science this term, with students exploring a range of exciting concepts through practical investigations.

Year 7 students have been learning about density and tested a variety of items to see whether they would sink or float in water. Year 8 students have been exploring energy through the bouncing ball practical, measuring how high a ball bounces and investigating where energy is transferred or lost. Year 9 students have been learning about chemistry and investigated endothermic and exothermic reactions, observing temperature changes during chemical reactions. In Year 10 Physics, students put their problem-solving and data collection skills to the test through the 'speedy dominoes' practical.

These activities have given students the opportunity to make predictions, test ideas, collect data and think like scientists — all while having plenty of fun along the way!
