At Catholic Regional College Caroline Springs, we are committed to protecting the privacy, safety and wellbeing of our students and staff, including the responsible use of photos and digital media.
To support this, the College has implemented Pixevety, a secure platform used to organise, store and manage school photos. Pixevety helps us ensure that student media consent preferences are applied accurately and consistently across College publications and communications.
Pixevety is an Australian-owned platform trusted by more than 380 schools across Australia and internationally. As part of its media management system, Pixevety uses secure facial recognition technology to help identify and organise photos within the College’s image library. This technology is used only for managing school photos and applying consent settings. No facial images are stored, and the data cannot be recreated or used outside the platform.
The introduction of Pixevety will help the College to:
- Securely store and manage school photos
- Ensure student media permissions are consistently followed
- Reduce the risk of unauthorised use of student images
- Strengthen privacy and child safeguarding practices
- Improve the efficiency of managing and accessing College media
The College remains committed to meeting all privacy and data protection obligations, including requirements relating to consent, data security, and access to information.
Further information about how Pixevety collects, stores and manages data is available in the Pixevety Privacy Policy.
We encourage families to review the College Privacy Policy and contact the College if you have any questions regarding student media consent or privacy practices.
